Is the engraving done on the leather belt holster or the flask itself?

Whats the size of the back strap? I need it to fit a 2 1/2" wide belt.

Sorry, but the widest belt the flask holder can accommodate is 1 3/4"

Perfect except one tiny thing...

Verified BuyerOk so this is wonderful quality, the leather holster is gorgeous and the engraving was perfect....however the only thing was a faint set of scratches down the front over the engraving on all 3 flasks I got. I had no time to replace before my wedding so I am giving scratched gifts. :(
Pros
- Good quality leather holder, smooth sleek flask design.
Cons
- Scratches down front of all 3...I think it must be the way the flask gets wiped off after engraving. It seems the tiny metal shards scratch it as its wiped clean.
