Bought as a gift for co-worker who is retiring. Ample space on this pen case to put several lines. The engraving looks really nice and it was no extra charge. It will accompany a personal, fill in the blank journal, to put his memories in his own handwriting for his grandson to cherish one day. I'm sure he will love it and appreciate the personal sentiment he will see every time he reaches for this pen . This is a really attractive piece. It solves the problem of---what do I do when the pen runs out of ink.
You always have the stand. The 2 tones of wood make for a nice contrast.
Be sure to specify if you want the engraving to be extra dark and they will do that. When I first got mine, it was too light but no problem! They emailed me back that day and said they'd replace it no extra charge. Customer Service is stellar, a rarity these days.
