My intended use was to fill this item with hot sauce which has a low pH due to the acid content of the vinegar. What negative affect will this have on the flask?

We would not recommend filling our flasks up with anything other than alcohol. You could probably hold hot sauce in there for a short period of time, a day or two, without damaging the flask but no longer than two days.
