Amorology

Now that you have all of your bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts ordered, you may be looking for a qualified wedding planner. While we don't sell wedding planners at Executive Gift Shoppe, we can recommend a very good one for you if you live near the San Marcos, CA area.

The company's name is Amorology LLC which is run by the very talented Heather Balliet. It was our pleasure to sit down recently for a short interview with Heather. We have to tell you we were impressed with what Heather and her team bring to the table for their clients.

Pete: Your bio states that you began your career working for a non-profit organization, counseling and assisting clients through crisis intervention. How did that training help you to become a better wedding planner?

Heather: It's been extremely beneficial as we now find ourselves on the happier end of therapy at times with our clients! There's a strong emotional component to what we do and this big day brings together so many types of emotions from so many different people, and so we often find ourselves assisting to manage these emotions - whether it's a relationship between a mom and her daughter or a groom and his bride - when it comes to helping find solutions and compromises to what they hold important.

Pete: How excited are you to have your work showcased around the world in various magazines and editorial shoots?

Heather: We're so very honored to see our work seen around the world and to be recognized as a luxury wedding planner! Every year our audience and clientele grow and that makes us even more excited about the future of Amorology!

Pete: Why are you successful in a niche where many others have failed?

Heather: I like to think that our success comes from the love that we have for our clients! We really get to know them and their desires, personalities, and stories of who they are which then translate into the weddings that we create for them which are highly personalized.

Pete: What do you think can’t be replicated (quickly) about what you do for your clients?

Heather: Hmm, in thinking on this one - our creative thought process can't be replicated in that we pull out these unique aspects of our couples' relationships and find different ways to integrate those aspects into their wedding to create something really one of a kind and personal each time! For example, for our couple whose first date was surfing together we created a 40ft custom backdrop that resembled the ocean, and for another one of our couples whose last name was Weatherall we did a whole weathervane concept on "perfect weather forever" using actual weathervanes on a backdrop to direct guests to their tables!

Pete: If you could go back, what would you change about how you did things?

Heather: I don't know that I would change a thing! It's been a beautiful evolving process and throughout the last 14 years, we've learned so much along the way about managing our business and exceeding clients expectations!

Pete: What do you think your unique skillset or superpower is that has helped you become successful?

Heather: Being both left and right brained! That way we're able to handle both the organizational and business side as well as the conceptual and creative side of wedding planning and design, which can sometimes be rare in this industry!

Pete: What's the best way for people interested in your service to get in touch with you?

Heather: Email is great! Reach out to Amorology LLC at info@amorologyweddings.com and we'd be happy to set up a consultation - we always love getting together to meet our clients face-to-face!
