It is just over 1 1/2" at the base, it definitely stands up solidly. I'll email you a crude picture I took with my cell phone, excuse the poor quality :-)

This desk clock is 6" high and 4 1/2" wide. It has a glass base that meets with the face of the clock to form almost a right angle, its angled slightly backward. We don't currently have a side view, sorry!

Verified BuyerLooks so much better in the picture. It’s cheap quality and the engraving sucks. There was tape residue right under the engraving and when I tried to get it off some of the black started coming off. Horrible product, definitely go somewhere else. Never buying from here again. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

One thing I noted was that we bought two personalized items, and on the bottom of the package there is a tiny sticker with initials so that someone doesn't have to undo the entire box to figure out which package belongs to whom. I thought this was a really nice personal touch, and very much appreciated the thoughtfulness behind it.
