I want to purchase this knife for my boyfriend but I wanted to get it engraved. Is that possible? and if so, would it be a laser engraving? if not, would it be a guaranteed permanent engraving if it were like just an applied font? Please let me know! Thanks!

No, sorry, this is one of the few Swiss Army knives that can't be engraved. The material it is made of, it has a satiny feel that is different than other Victorinox knives, just does not lend itself to engraving.
