An easy-to-read display features large liquid crystal digits, with a backlight that shines all night, so that you can read the time at a glance, at any hour. The alarm has an ascending tone to ensure you are woken up, and a snooze button. The batteries last more than six months. The clock slides out of a hard protective casing, which is not suited to engraving. When standing open it measures 5 1/4 by 3/4 by 2 1/8 inches, and reduces when closed to 3 by 3/4 by 2 1/8 inches.
